The guard is a genial sort, inclined to chat for a bit. He asks about the Tournament Faire, where one receives a grounding in the fundamentals of Game-Based Learning. After you have chatted a while he gives a nod and seems to approve that the basics have been learned.

The conversation next turns to The Festival Clearing. He seems to know quite a bit about what goes on there. Of course there is much to be learned about classroom games and game based learning techniques all across the clearing. After a while he stands with a smile and lightly grasps your shoulder. His look is intense, but not unkind. As he turns with you to face the door, he begins to speak.

"Adventurer, you know of what you speak," he begins. "The Fundamentals, you've learned. The techniques you've learned. And now," he pauses to heighten the drama of the moment, "The Castle!" A light thunderclap was timed just right to accompany his words.

His eyes move away across the open space beyond the Entrance of the Castle. He is looking for someone. His eyes light up and he motions for someone to come over, though they are at quite some distance. Satisfied they coming, the guard turns back.

"The Castle is given to applications. Applications of games and gamification in the classroom. Applications of techniques in advanced ways, and well other surprises. Here comes Jake, my son-in-law. Not long after him, no doubt, will come Murial, my daughter. The help orient people around here."
A decision is to be made. On the left, Jake is nearly to the Guardhouse. The Castle Courtyard is straight ahead. Murial is rushing in the right.
